This book is a realistic look at the devastatingly
beautiful and poetic tragedy that exemplifies the oxymoron that is
the human being.
This intergalactic colonization story is one of deep
thought and understanding of the human condition and leads us
through a full spectrum of emotions from hope, to happiness, from
wonder to an adrenalin rush of free fall.
It is clear that Russell Lutz has a firm
understanding of human nature and a scary grasp of what they are
capable of
Mr. Lutz has achieved an incredible amount of
believability in this tale, where the reader can well imagine the
lives described, centuries into our future.
The structure of the story leaves character
development a little bit shy, but Mr. Lutz provides a family history
to tie things into place. Because of this structure, he manages to
show the reader the implications of an ordinary family's life that
leads to dynamic results in the tremendous finishing chapters.
