Ruth Pettite
(Hazel) Please find the works of Ruth Pettit below.
Home Page Ruth Pettite is raising five boys with her life partner in sunny, northwest Florida. She writes to fill a need long suffered in her life, the passion to put her unique imagination to paper. Ruth has always had an overpowering desire to share her standard-breaking stories and poetry with a public that has little originality left to choose from in the bookstores. Ruth has written several poems, a few essays, and some short story work. Her poetry is best known on Poetry.com (www.poetry.com) and under the pen-name of Hazel on GayPoetry.com (www.gaypoetry.com). At Cowboy Logic, she has produced a short story entitled Keep Your Friends Close, Your Enemies Closer slated to be published in The Uncommon Sense Anthology by Roger Haller, fellow writer, editor and publisher. Her first poetry book, A Time To Sow, is one of three books that Ruth has worked on for many years. For more information on the author, go to http://www.cowboylogic.net/Ruth.html and explore other works by Ruth and her fellow authors at www.cowboylogic.net/forum. While there, feel free to read, critique, and comment on the works presented. Ruth’s debut novella, Heirloom, is the first of a six part series called The Grintana Series. The first scheduled to be on shelves in the fall of 2009, Ruth has worked for six years compiling information for the fantasy pirate book with a decidedly Sapphic slant. Starting this novella with merely three words and a dare, the book has enveloped a personal feeling for Ruth. Using the people in her own world, Heirloom has come to life through several years of stop and go work. The story tells the tale of horror, magic, and what happens when love takes over one’s life.
